88 944 Turbo Cruelty
I've just recently noticed a 944 that has been abandoned for some time in my area. I stopped to look at it the other day. The sign in the window says it's an 88 turbo, brand new factory motor. Five speed manual, grey leather, some form of silver. However there is not one straight piece of sheetmetal on it, clock has 153,000 miles on it. Windows are good, interior good, Wheels are trashed. I would honestly be suprised if one of them was still symetrical. The bead lip on the phone dials is gone on all four wheels, I doubt if it's ever been washed. The rocker panels are crushed like someone took if 4-wheeling. Both sides have scrapes all the way down from parking lot posts. Front air dam is pretty well abused as well.
There should be punishment for doing this to these beautiful cars. Go abuse a Ford Focus or something.
I'd love to buy and care for it, but State Farm would be sticking their cattle prod lots further into you know where, than if I buy an NA. <img src="graemlins/crying.gif" border="0" alt="[crying]" />

I've seen that one in the Denver paper a few times, I recall they were asking a decent amount of money for it ($8000?) but it sounds like a parts car, unfortunately.

It would be interesting to see if they have a receipt for that "brand new factory motor". I am a little skeptical why someone would put that kind of money into a trashed car.
