Post Paranoid about oil baffle pans

Hi,

I am baffled with these pans:
-86 has part number 944.107.389.01 $95
-87 and newer 944.107.389.02 $86, this has at least one extra wing protecting the sloshing. Quickly looked fitting seems to be the same. I thought I might give it a try, its cheaper and seems to do its job better.

And the I found from rennlist the following:
---
944 Track Tech Tips
by George Beuselinck, Hudson Valley Region
944 Turbo and 944S2 Oil Pan Baffle
the '89 Turbo and S2 have an extra oil pan baffle to counteract the high-G oil travle problem.
It works with normal pans as well. Part no. 944.107.389.03 U$66
---
On other posts they say it is required to change the whole oil pan and longer pick-up tube too to get this one fitted.

I have .01 and .02 and I am supposed to return one of them. I didn't know about .03 earlier.

I know it is not supposed to make much difference, but since I am doing this I'd like to do it as well as I could.

Thanks
