Talking Anyone using the classic Porsche Crest leather keyfob?

A light-hearted but important Sunday question! I recently put my colored-crest Key onto the leather and colored metal Porsche crest keychain.

Anyone like this combo, or is it too "look, I own a Porsche"??

I have the same setup. IMHO, it's not too much. It's just a simple matter of pride of ownership.

Best wishes to everyone in the coming New Year!!

Cool

I am into the second one... The leather starts to deteriorate quickly… all the black color is peeling…

I see that they now have two styles... The one that I have is:

That NEW style rocks! But when I go to Porsche's accessory page on the US Website, it only shows the older style.

What gives?? I would rather have the crest attatched instead of free-floating!

Definitely. The leather holding the crest deteriorated and broke after about two months. I have yet to replace it but I probably will after seeing the fob with the attached crest.

Here's a pic of my Porsche keys and fobs...

My 924S keys are on the left and the 912 keys are center and right.

Not too much at all. I just got my 944 last week, the key is missing the crest, I'm going to replace it only after replacing the T-belt. After all we do drive the finest cars in the world, why be shy about it.

For my 86 turbo I have the key fob, and the original lighted key with the silver/black crest (which is the original key). For my 84 944 I had the non lighted key (original for that car again)with the same key fob.

exc911ence, just wanted to let you know I love your two cars. The two are so different yet they have a very similar "feel" to them that's quite hard to put into words.

over1g: I thank you. I do tend to prefer cars that provide a raw, pure driving experience (not that I wouldn't love a 944 Turbo, mind you) and the 924S and the 912 deliver this in spades. If I had only one word to describe them both, I would choose 'balance'.

I did have one person say that, with my choice of Porsche cars, I must really be antisocial! If I could find a nice 914, I'd have a fine collection of not-real-Porsches!
