...does anybody run this game with W2K, AthlonXP, and GeForce2? I could never get it to run with this combination...

tried what you recommended Rich, but it didn't work, so i re-installed it all under its default directory and it did the trick

SO, i'm looking forward to finally enjoying my favorite video game online now!

 

only problem is...how rusty i am, haven't played the game in soooo long!

I can play most anytime before 10pm Pacific (I have to go to work at 11pm PST)

the game will launch, splash screen will show, then just before it will play the swoosh sound, it goes back to the desktop in whatever video mode is game default, then switches back to my preset of 1024 x 768 x 32bit. There will be no trace of the game ever being launched. I have all of the updated drivers for everything, and I've emailed EA about the game, but never got a reply. I just end up playing on my laptop but I would rather use the big system because the laptop will freeze every once in a while...

I chalk it up to very bad quality control and customer service on EA's part...
