Post Anyone know a good source for Brass Vacuum Ts?

Been to a few Marine stores and Home Depot/Lowes...nothing small enough...anybody know a good source (other than buying Lindsey's kit, which, while nice, didn't fit with my penchant for avoiding blue hoses at all costs

I have the hose, hoping to find a 3/16" brass T barb kinda thing, but I'm at a loss...every Google search brings up 3 pages of plumbing based hose T's which are threaded and not for soft line.

you need the little T from the FPR / BOV / Timed Valve???

my dad has a few of those in his workshop. I've got on my 86, I broke the plastic OEM one. The brass is much more durable!

Look like this, to connect vacuum lines rather than using cruddy plastic ones from autozone...similar to what Lindsey uses in their kits for the vacuum line replacement (unfortunately this one is a hair too big)

My local Ace Hardware had a large selection of these in differrent sizes. I might even have 1 or 2 extras floating around. What size do you need? If you can't find one, I'll gladly mail one to you.

I need 2 3/16" brass 3 way Tees and 1 3/16" brass 4 way Tee. However, I appreciate the suggestion, let me try a few local hardware stores...I may have been searching at places that were too large...

Thanks

Try Parker Hannifin and see who carries their product and will sell to you in small quantities.

I know Parker Hannifin manufactures in brass and a few other metals that small because the sent me some when I was doing my vacuum lines.

But I don't think you will find a 4 way unless someone recently had a special run done. Just use 2 3 ways.

I can't even count the number of flanged 10mm nuts (like Danno buys from the Toyota dealerships) I've bought there ~ in the metric isle, by the back wall in the bottom drawer of the blue 4-drawer thing. Far front/right corner... They almost have TO much stuff in there (sometimes takes awhile to find something you Know they have). I love that place though....

Jeez Dan, what do you do that you have some many commercial/industrial resources at hand? Is this all from you sailing background?

I got some from a "hose supply" place locally. I'm pretty sure they are the size you are asking about, or, at least they would be available I think.

Michael, Yeah, building my large sailboat gave me quite the exposure, then working for my father's manufacturing company in the purchasing department sourcing the strangest parts one summer break when I was young, and then being a CPA and doing financial work for a lot of the major companies. I even did some work for a little company in your town ..... GoodYear.

The Parker brass hose T deal was easy for me. I just called a guy there that I worked with on a problem they had and up showed a pile of fittings at my door.
