Default O.E.M. brand or Genuine Porsche Thermostat Snap Ring???

I'm building a racing motor this winter and working to finalize my parts list.

I was looking at Pelican and I truly have a dilemma. Obviously I want the best parts available for a high stress situation.

Do I need to run the Genuine Porsche Thermostat Snap Ring, which would be 25% extra cost AND require a special order, or will the O.E.M. brand suffice in my highly stressed race motor?

As an aside, Wipeout tells me he needs to special order 3 undertray screws from Germany...

Well the AfteRMarketzz ring is made of titanium carbon fiber alloy so it should be good for an extra 20hp yo.

I'm sure you 1000hp water pump will be stressing with torque to the point where you need titanium snap rings...

If you reuse the old one, you will be just as well off. The only stress the part will see is slight thermal expansion from circulating coolant.

Any style snap ring will work if it's the right size and made from a corrosion resistant material. Stress is not a concern, but corrosion is if running straight distilled water in a track car. Even in distilled water the groove in the aluminum housing will degrade first to protect the snap ring.
