16 yr old drives 16 yr old
Took my middle son for his first Porsche experience last week. I think he liked it!

My youngest rode along with us:

I let him drive through the twisty roads of Starved Rock. He views his driver license as being worth more now!

So, when's his first DE?

My brother (17) just lost his licence until he's 21 on prom night this year! That's a miserable 4 years one's life to be car-less. California Law does not smirk at drunk driving, but it sure is different for you when you're 17 as opposed to 18.
I remember him driving my 2.7 and teaching him to heal-toe and late apex on hwy 38 (the "back" side). I can not imagine loosing that opportunity for 4 years. . .

My 16 year old just got his drivers liscense on Friday. Less than 24 hours later he was squeeling the tires and burying the gas pedal in my 290hp 951.
We went to a PCA autocross. We put him with an experienced instructor. He suprised himself and me with how well he did. He's driven the car several times before. (In fact it was the first car he ever drove). He's also ridden with me on many runs (SCCA allows riders). Anyway, He came within 4 seconds of my best time first time out.
In fact the only car he's ever driven alone was that day. Someday we'll turn him loose with one of the slow cars.
He's building a nice slow 914 in the back yard.

Man, I wish my mom had your values and thoughts on life. She hates to even drive. Sounds like your son just had one of the best days of the rest of his life. Is he going to get the N/A now?
