MichelleJD,
I think you picked a perfect time to let him know how important keeping a DL is. We'll see if autocrossing at this early age discourages tickets and trouble down the road. I know that for me, track and autocross events tell me that I'll never get the same kind of thrill on the street so I don't try. Driving a car on the edge in controlled situations let you know that the car will go out of control at times. Something kinda fun at an autocross, not so fun elsewhere.

Great way to keep the family together! Not to mention the best way to get a kid's attention when training them the basic lessons. He will beg for more "lessons"

Hey Michelle,
I just purchased my first Porsche a 87' 944S. I have let my 17yr son and 18yr daughter take it out and show their friends. The only thing that would have gotten them more excited would have been if they were to of done it the day they got licences!
If it don't produce a smile it don't produce...Kudos to you

Michelle - I usually take Randall Road from Aurora to Rt20 to Hoffman Estates every morning from 7am to 8am and every night from 6pm to 7pm. I will keep a lookout for your car.
