Post Selling a nice 1989 944na (pre-ebay post)

A friend just traded for this car and I bought it pretty cheap. I already have a 964 so I don't need it and it'll be on ebay next week. Anyone need it???

It is a 1989 944na with the 2.7 (obviously) It is a really nice little car with 103k miles. Some records, but missing a lot. I do have the ticket on the t-belt and clutch at 90k. It's guards/black and the front fenders & hood have been painted, but it shows no signs of being wrecked. Paint looks excellent. Has 15" phonedials and they are just slightly oxidized, but in great shape. New Goodyear Eagle GTs. Seats look really nice, but the passenger seat has 2 small seperations in the seam toward the front of the seat. Dash has a few cracks, but no really bad gaping ones. Motor runs flawlessly and tranny shifts smoothly. It will need a right front CV joint before too long, but it is not bad yet. If you really turn hard you can hear a faint popping. Every single electrical component works perfectly (windows, locks, mirrors, sunroof, stereo, rear defrost, heat, both 4 way seats, etc...) except the ac compressor is bad. It will need to be rebuilt/replaced. Anyway, it is a really nice car and it will be on ebay next week when I get the pictures taken. I will be able to answer any questions you may have and I'll listen to any offers (I will sell it pretty darn cheap, I just bought it so my friend could get his Jetta sold, I told him to keep it, but he really can't afford to do it right now so I'm the lucky new owner! I still have to pay for my tags and I'm not sure exactly how much that will be, but I'll probably sell it in the low $5,000s.
Am I mistaken about the CV joint? It is just a slight little popping sound on a hard left corner. Is it something else, maybe???

That sounds like a ball joint - definately something up front though, right?

Seems like a good deal, but have a PPI before you lay down $$$$ for it, guys.

I'd love to have the head. . .

Matt,
Yep, definately on the right front and it is hard to notice unless you are trying to make it do it. I, too strongly recommend a prebuy! We have a good local shop that is Bosch certified that can do one for around $150 with leakdown and everthing. It sure seems to run and drive great. Only real concern for me would be the ac, it's about 95 degrees everyday around here and I'm just too much of a sissy-boy to deal with that! I also have a dash cap I can include. I was going to put it on the car, but I figured a potential buyer would assume that the dash was all messed up and it really isn't bad.
