I will only replace the 2 lenses, the clear and amber ones. I could also decide to replace the entire top row of lenses and still leave the bottom ones red.

Looking Good!

I don't think I'm going to give up on mine quite yet. Seeing pics of yours helps keep me going.

BTW... A while ago I was asking myself the same question about what all to make clear. ...Just make the amber clear or all on the top row. Below are two Photoshop pics I did. By far I like just doing the amber section alone. I think if all of the top is done it will look goofy. IMHO

After looking at your photoshop work, yes all 3 lenses clear would look goofy, I will stick to just the two as planned, less work then also. Nice photoshop work BTW...

I am hoping to sell the lenses, glue, and some instruction's for about $50
very nice job so far man, after you get everything straight get in touch with me i'm very interested in doing this to my 944. Honestly i don't think the top row white and bottom row red looks so bad... during the day at least. during the night only the bottom half-circle would light up, but maybe activating that middle deadlight to a breaklight would make it a cleaner look. anywho, looks nice, keep us posted.

Do you mean all three top lenses? No price difference between clear and smoked..

Count me in as well, the two white sections will look great against a white car.

Have you thought this out on the brake light? Both the top and bottom cells are connected and lit by the same bulb. I suppose you could put in a red bulb.

And I agree with Matt. The color of the car makes all the difference in what looks best.

My thinking on all 3 on the top being clear is that I would block the traditional top part of the brake light so it doesn't light up at all. And then do that dead tail light conversion for the one in the bottom middle to act as a brake light as well.

Steve, but you will have a hard time finding the sockets for the dead light cell.

I cleaned out all the remaining OEM sockets in North America. And I've been told they are out of production for good. So then it is off to the parts breakers for old used ones. I've got about 16 left I could sell the guys, but that is only 8 cars.

And I don't know about this block off of the brake light. I don't want to be a wet blanket, so go experiment. But I think there will be problems to get where you want to be.

No problem. I wasn't planning on that route anyways. I'm just sticking with making the amber signal clear.
