Post need advice--intermittant coolant leak--see pic

hi all!

got an intermittent coolant leak--found this corner of a metal/plastic joint on the water pump to be dripping.

it was very slow, even with engine warm and reving it up a bit. it basically doesn't leak, and then will suddenly lose about 1/2 litre of coolant over 100 miles. i'm guessing it's a temperature thing--the last time it leaked i drove it slightly hard on a hot day with the internal ventilation fan on (cold air).

i'm suspecting this joint because it's a metal/plastic one--do you think it's likely that when things are very hot it leaks much faster? can't find any other leaks, except a super slow one from the turbo coolant pump.

thanks for any advice!

Are you sure it's not a small leak in the lower rad hose????
Fluid does seek the lowest level to drip fom.

If you think it is coming from there, replace the 10 cent o ring under it. Simple, cheap.
