Post what lube for driveshaft splines at clutch ?

Can anyone tell me what is the best lube to use on the splines of the driveshaft where they connect to the clutch friction plate. I have some Moly disulphate for the guide tube but I see the manuals specify some odd code for the lubricant on the splines. I presume it is some kind of dry lubricant that wont get flung off easily as the shaft spins and cause problems with the friction material of the clutch.

Thanks in advance If someone knows of a common name and source for this type of lubricant.

cheers,
Wayne

Wayne -

Try copper anti-seize...

Works like a charm.

I used CV joint lube assuming that it was for a situation where the parts don't really move over each other much, they are in contact with force applied. Also I had extra..

Thanks for the replies guys, I presume you have had no problems with lubricant contaminating the friction plate or any difficulty engaging gears ? How long have you been running your cars with these lubricants ?

Cheers,
Wayne
