Post Thank You Midas!

Just about everyone I know has slammed Midas Muffler from time to time, and certainly a lot of Porsche owners would be reluctant to take their baby there.
But yesterday I had them do a four wheel alignment on the 944. In the four years since I've owned her, she's always had a pronounced pull to the left. This before and after new tires, brakes, wheels, tie rods, bearings, etc, and a couple of so-called 4 wheel alignments. Well, these guys must have done it right, b/c it took them about four hours. End result, no more pull! Great job guys.
Now one place I DO stay away from is Canadian Tire. I'm sure my fellow canucks on this board know all about them. But that's another story...

I'm looking at a 944, and being from N.B. there is no place to service it locally. Import Autohouse was suggested to me. What is your opinion?

TIA

Eurotech in Saskatoon does pretty good work. They're a little pricey but they really know German cars inside and out. Outside of S'toon, you might want to look at Norden in Edmonton.

BTW, are you still looking for a 944? I may be putting mine up for sale (it's an '83). If your'e interested, e-mail me privately and I'll send you more info.

I know someone that had a horrible expierience at Les Schwab and a great one at Midas. This was on his Dodge Neon. Les Schwab told him that they needed a special tool to change his rear shoes. Midas disasembled his rear brakes, showed them to him, explained them to him, all for free.
