Post S2 stock chip?

Hi all,
I recently bought a spare 944S2 engine, and it came with a DME. The engine is from a 1991 S2, and has the desireable 91 DME. However I can see that the DME had been opened in the past, perhaps the chip is not stock. I opened it up following the excellent instructions on Jim Griffin's site:

<a href="http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/4475/Porsche/Porsche944S2.html" target="_blank">http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/4475/Porsche/Porsche944S2.html</a>

And found the chip. The chip is labeled with a printed label bearing the number: 1 267 356 259 and another number (605) diagonally across the label in a different font. The printing on the label is similar to the label on a chip on the other board which is numbered: 1 267 356 411 so I suppose this chip is stock.

I was thinking of trying this DME in my 1990 S2 to see if I get a boost in power. I'm told the 91 S2 DME has a better program.

Does that description sound like a stock chip?
-Joel.

My 1990 S2 chip, which doesn't seem to be labeled in the manner yours is, has that 1 267 356 259 number on it, so I would venture to guess it's stock.
