Post Porsche toys and my mental health...

What do you get when you cross a guy getting bored on his Christmas vacation away from work and a new digital camera? You get a Rennlist Gallery full of photos of his Porsche toy collection! Here's the URL: http://gallery.rennlist.com/gallery/exc911ence2

Even with 59 pictures, it's still not complete! Have to dig out the 20-odd other 1/18's out of the hall closet and I still haven't convinced myself that photographing all 100+ Hot Wheels Porsches in my collection isn't that bad of an idea... somebody help me!

Great collection!

You know that's probably not a bad idea at least for insurance purposes. Incase anything happened to them.

Thumbs up

Ooooh how I'd love to have that 924 GTR.
I work for Canon Norway, and that car would be perfect for my collection.
I've tried getting a hold of 944 in either 1/18 or 1/24 but they are hard to get a hold of.

Nice collection.

The Canon 924 is still available from Bburago in die-cast kit form. Check around the net, there's bound to be one somewhere!

i wanna get some of the rare porsche models in 1/18 like the 959 and 934 and 935 but wow they cost like 60-100 dollars each because of their rarity...

btw who wants to start a petition to all the different model makers to make a 1/18 scale 924/944/951/968 ? anyone? i really want one!!

Wait! Let me guess: UT 1/18 911 Targa, UT 1/18 911 Carrera 4S, Maisto 1/18 Carrera GT concept and Bburago 911 Cabriolet. Am I right?

I have the Cabrio in red (in the closet still) and have yet to find the Carrera GT concept car anywhere. And you know that I'm looking!

hah... darn you were off by the brands though
the targa and the 4s are maisto.. and yea i love the quality of maisto and the price.. under 20 dollars usually!
the carerra gt is actually the remote control one from sharper image, made by maisto as well
and the 993 carerra cabrio is bburago.. darn, there are crazy people like me out there i guess?

i really want a 993 turbo or just non cabrio.. and.. the list goes on.. so when are those bastards going to make 1/18 scale watercooled porsches!?

It is hard to believe that no one has ever produced a 1/18 924/944/968. That model line was the best selling Porsche car of all time not to mention the car that saved the company the first time. When I bought my Motorbox (by Exoto) 959, it came with a reply card that had three blanks for models that I would like to see in the future. Of course, I chose the 944 and 928 as two of my choices. The third was for a 1/18 936 incidentally, I love that race car! A few years ago, someone (possibly UT) was advertising a 1/18 928S4 but it never appeared, rumour had it that the mould fell off of the truck and was lost. I'm not sure if I believe that or not...

People, send your letters and e-mails to the companies directly and put on the pressure to produce a 1/18 water cooler!

944 found in a barn? I thought only 356's lived in barns!

Speaking of 356's, I bought another model today (somebody save me!!!), built it up and uploaded a photo of it onto my Gallery page already... I need professional help.
