When I store my boat for the winter, I follow almost all of the above advice. In addition, I use a fogging oil (20W oil available in a spray can at Canadian Tire and other places) to oil the inside of the cylinder walls, etc. With the boat engine, I run the motor at fast idle, spray 2 ounces of fogging oil down the carb throat and shut down the engine. You could also pull the spark plugs, fog the inside of each cylinder, and replace the plugs.

Well we just moved in to the new place last week and I have just about cleared a path through the garage to the wreck.
I propose to start tearing it down soon.

Well its official, I have taken the S2 off the road. GOD I MISS IT ALREADY! This civic is umm gutless LOL. Fun as hell to tear around in tho.

944S2 NUT : I have an 1989 944 Turbo (I know it's called a 951, but I just love to say it the long way!!!), API chipp, K&N filter, and 993 mags. Have a custom paint job on it. They tell me it's "like" an eggplant blue, but I dunno about that. I mixed the BMW blue called "montreal blue" (hey, I'm in montreal after all) along with the Porsche dark blue to arrive at it.

951PORSCHISTE : IMHO, the rest of Canada IS english occupied. We Quebecers already took the best part...and WE have the F1 Grand Prix this weekend to boot! You live in Longueuil? I'm in Brossard (soon moving to Candiac).

Hi,

with regard to the engine's oil I suggest the following;
Change the oil and filter about 200 kms prior to storage. The oil I recommend to use is an agriculture multi use oil that has "vapour release" additives to protect against rusting above the "oil line"
This can be purchased from many makers ( Castrol for instance ) and in a light viscosity - say 10w-40
