Question Loss of Oil Pressure

My 84 944 lost it's oil pressure. It has oil, and I don't think it's the sensor. So I figure I'll start with the pressure relief valve. Does it matter if I use the old three piece unit if I can find one for sale? The new one piece ones are expensive. Is it possible to clean the old one? I notice the oil cooler costs over $300 with the gaskets. Has anyone had one of these fail? If the oil pump is bad that's over $500!!! Does anyone sell rebuilt ones? Any input would be appreciated.

As far as checking prices for a used or rebuilt (if it exists) oil pump, you should call Ian at ians euro parts.

I have had no problems, and great deals from Ian.

(just a satisfied customer)
