HELP! Plub wire routing ('88 n/a)
Plugs not "plub"
I'm following the Clark's Garage info showing tthe distributor cap as:
4--2
3--1
The above diagram is direct from Clarks-garage.com but if the rotor spins as expected, wouldnt it be:
3--2
4--1?
And the engine firing order:
Front -2--4--3--1--Rear
Or do I just go 1--2--3--4 front to rear?
Hook up the wires number-to-number and all I get is a nasty stumble when trying to start. Sounds like the wires are wrong. Help???
Yeah. I could have written down notes. I'm a moron!

3--1 <------ this is the correct hookup at the distributor cap
And yes the cylinders are 1234 front to rear.
The cam tower cover has the firing order cast into it (1-3-4-2) hence the plug hookup shown on Clarks is correct (start at bottom right, proceed clockwise for 1-3-4-2 as shown on your cam cover (the other end of the plug wires go to the plugs with 1-2-3-4 front of engine to rear of engine, you probably mixed the firing order on the cam cover up thinking that was telling you the cylinder locations....
