Default CLICKING NOISE

I have a 87 944n/a just developed a clicking noise when coming to a complete stop, havent had time to look at it yet just wondering what you all thought it could possibly be brakes or control arm going bad ?

thank you

What kind of clicking noise? From where is it coming, in the cabin our outside? Mine makes three clicks from the area of the ABS controller (outside "wall" of passenger side). One click when I apply moderate brake pressure as I begin stopping, then two clicks once I've reached a complete stop.

I'm not sure myself if that's normal yet, but that's what mine's been doing.

No bomb had the bomb the squad come out and look at it just in case, no really just one click at the end of braking when fully stopped

Clicking noise on braking could also be the brake pad retaining clips have rusted out and/or broke off. So the pad is sliding back and forth in that slot. So to speak.

Source was the brake clips thanks everyone for suggestions, as far as parting it out she's only got 180k she's barely broken into, lately she's being my daily driver.

I was like 10 miles from 180k when my headgasket gave it up while the car was shut off and parked.

The clicking you heard was the timer on the headgasket self-destruct.
