How is the fitment for the euro rear bumper on a US n/a 944? How much did it cost you? Got any pics?

Where did you get it from?

the entire car is a euro. i purchased it locally. The rear bumpers appear to be the same as on the US cars. However the front bumpers are very different. They have a driving light in the front bumper. I have pics at work and won't be there until monday.

the rear bumper on the euro is different from the us spec.

the euro has one long strip of black rubber spanning the entire length of the bumper, where as us cars have the two seperate parts. i think that the strip isn't as thick height-wise as ours.

personally, i am not big on the euro rear end. however, the front bumper is much nicer.

there is a euro user by the name of sami, check out his p-car profile, there are some good shots there.

I have owend a eurospec n/a and now have a us spec 951.The rear bumbers are totally different. In my opinion the eurospec is much cleaner.I have planned to change that "ugly" US spec bumber to euro one. It's a bolt-off / bolt-on operation.
That 944S 944 Hooligan mentioned is my friends Sami's car. It's really on top condition. He is going to have some upgrades to his car during this winter; cler front indicators (allready there). Clear rear blinker glass (they are coming to our groups 4 951's as well) and 19" Mak wheels. Also some carbon fibre front spoilers will be made to all of these five cars..

Alright then,

Direct bolt off/ bolt on for the euro spec bumper for my 84 944! Guess I am going to order myself a rear euro bumper and add to the winter project list! I think I would rather have a one piece rear bumper with the thin rubber, rather than the the rear bumper and the two plastic sides for a rear bumper assembly with the thick black pads. Only thing I do not like about the rear euro bumper is the gap between the quarter and the bumper, but we'll see what we can do about that. I am also curious to know how much the long strip of thin bumper pad on the euro bumper would cost? Because I am sure that if I were to order a used euro bumper I would probably be dissapointed with the look of 10+ year old rubber.

Thank's Guys

Hope you had a good christmas!

Four spoilers will be made for 951's and same style for Sami's 944S (that will need quite a lot modifications) The style will be A.I.R, i suppose Sam Grant & David Floyd are using same kind of spoilers.
At the moment we have a plan to make these just for our gang, but let see if we make some more. Here's a pic of Sam's car.Spoiler will look like that.I plan to keep it unpainted Carbon Fibre since my car is black.

It isn't exactly bolt off/bolt on. You actually have to use different mounts, as the US cars use bumper shocks and the Euro Spec use short bumper irons. They do swap easily, but you do have to make the switch.

Also, the US rear is aluminum while the Euro is glass fiber. I have a complete set for my car, though I don't have them on right now.

Vince over on the 924 board is a good guy to contact about this.
