field stripping a SKS

Post field stripping a SKS

I have a sks is this stock
number 23

The problem is i have no clue how to field strip it...I tried using other site that have the regular stock but its not helping....I think the problem is that i cant get it out of the stock....

any advice welcomed

Did you take the trigger mechanism out first? Its the tab behind the trigger guard you have to push it in with a screw driver and the stock should drop down. Then slide it back and comes off in about 30 seconds.....remember this is the predecessor to the ak47 and simplicity makes it neat.

It was easy....there was a clip on the stock that was slipped into a rail that i had to slip out....after that, the whole assembly fell out and it was easy after that....

im going to get a 37mm gernade launcher for it tomorrow.... ....and a new scope...
