Default few pics from the junkyard...

I saw these 944's sitting side by side in a local junkyard, so I decided to stop and look. The owner of the yard told me that the red one ran a year ago but would shut off after 30 seconds of running. He also said that he would not part them but only sell as whole.
Here are a few pics of the cars....

There was also a 968 that had tags on it and he said it was a customers car, It look like it hadn't run in a long time...

I'm guessing he thinks that since they're Porsches...

People that run junkyards think these cars are worth $100,000. I remeber going to a u-pull-it yard to get rear seatbelts which stated $5.00 on the price sheet and the guy tried charging me $40 because it was a "rare find"

Id give him $1,000 for the pair.

No way that red one is worth more than 500 with rotting rockers.

I bought my 1989 944 for $1,000 when I was 17. It was in much better shape than either of those, and ran beautifully. Gotta love craigslist finds

Yeah I drove away with my 89 for $1250.

If I had my own trailer I could move them with, $500 for the both maybe.

With the economy where it is, Id say they are worth what the market will bear - which is nothing.

...not joking...

I actually had a dream one night that I was at a junkyard and I found a 968 cabriolet. I went to town, called my brother over to help me part it and carry the parts away.

The best thing I ever found at a junkyard was a 951 with a whole bunch of the goodies already missing. Aside from that, just garden variety 944s and 924s.

Quick Reply: few pics from the junkyard...
