Damn...looks like I have to get the wing in the color combo I want. If I change to black interior I don't have to get the wing.

What to do?

Forget the pic's I have been to the dealer I know what the car looks like. I want a driving review... what's it like compared to a P-car?
I have read the magazine reviews and it would be interesting to get the opinion of a real person.

Yeah I sat in one too...

Guys, hate to dampen youe enthusiasm but...
I almost bought one when they came out in December. They were so rare, the dealer didn't keep any in stock. My concern was that I was buying a car without even being able to try it. Plus I had a feeling the trunk was a bit smallish. So I passed and got a new Passat instead + a 951.
Price of a new G35 coupe = Price of a new Passat + Price of a sweet 951

Well, my friend's GF did buy one in December. She liked the power and the looks but after 6 months she had stone chips all across the hood plus part of roof. The paint seems very thin on these cars (no wonder they're a bargain in their category). Plus the fender steel is very easily crumpled. She had an encounter with one of the pillars of her carport...the pillar won. Result: new passenger-side fender. Finally, even though the trunk seems usable, It wasn't big enough for her... she's into gardening. She sold the G35 last month and got an Audi Allroad instead. And this from a gal who kept her Mercedes 190 for 8 years and a Honda Accord previous to that for 10 years.

Her verdict: G35 very disappointing.

The car itself looks kinda futuristic, and oriental..
Nice car.
Not for me though..

Well to review the car in one word would be FUN.

Now comparing to the P-CAR part of the story. Although both are sports cars they P-CAR will own the coupe in the handling department. In the terms of speed it a whole different ball game. Maybe if my p-car was a turbo then the speed would go the the 944 side too. The looks are totally subjective but both look stunning in my eyes. After 6000 miles the ride is not as harsh as in my 944 with 17's keep in mind that this car has 18's. The brakes are unbelievable. These brembos saved my car 5 times from stupid drivers cutting me off on the freeway. The cars interior could have been better but then again it would not cost the same. It is true that the paint is very thin and I am beginning to see some chips on my front end. The trunk could use a little more room. The system is great but the CD changer is so slow that sometimes during short trips all it does is change a cd and then you arrive at you destination. I am not kidding it takes like a minute to go from CD

Visit <a href="http://www.G35driver.com" target="_blank">www.G35driver.com</a>

Very good forums and a lot of helpful folks just like here at rennlist. It not like a honda forum where everyone is an a$$ hole but more like rennlist.

Hope to see you there.
