I keep my luggage cover extended in the rear hatch because I hate the reflection of the light carpet in the rear view mirror. I'd like to have black carpet back there.

On the other hand both my cars have light carpets in the cabin with black floormats, I saw pics on here and thought it looked good.

 

I also keep my luggage cover over the trunk area. Seems to work OK.

Colin, if/when you do decide to sell the trunk mat, definitely PM me. I'm quite interested.

 

If your rear carpet is in good shape, I am interested in the rear hatch carpet.
