OT Digital Cameras

I have a fuji finpix 3800 3.24 megapixel and love it. I bought mine at best buy but , a guy that I did a couple of webpages for bought his offline and found it for like 337.00 . Also when looking at digital cameras don't fall into the digital zoom part of it. Look at the optical zoom more than digital zoom. Digital is no more than looking at the picture closer on the computer, it doesn't help with picture quality unless you want to zoom in on a little spec of the picture even then its grainy. do some searches for yourself to see if you can find it cheaper. I paid 400 for mine about a month ago. You know how electronics prices are dropping every second

Also I bought some rechargeable aa batteries from best buy for like 20 with a charger. They actually work for longer time then the non rechargeables and I think I have actually saved myself money already. (lots of pics)

what do you want to do with the camera?
3 megapixels is more than enough for a amateur or budding professional. If you want truly pro shots go up to 4 mp or 5 mp. You can buy a kodak with more mp but I would lots of research on the kodak

3 mp is more than enough actually with good optics you could do 2 mp. But with the option of so many 3 mp cameras in that price range get the options like OPTICS whats your email and I'll send a couple of pics with my fuji. The more pics you get from other cameras would give you a great idea of what you want

I have an Olympus, 2 megapixels, and I got it a little while ago as a discontinued model, it was replaced by a newer one. I really like the pics it takes, and with 128 card it holds a TON, but the big issue is the it only connects via serial port to the computer. Please, don't ever subject your self to the horror that is downloading huge .tif images by a serial port. I know you can get usb flash readers, but make sure the one you get is usb. Also, one with a built in battery charger would be a nice feature.

i just bought a sony dsc-p9 4 megapixel. with the 128mb stick it was $500 (birthday present, and bun coming soon), but you can do better since you aren't in NY (sales tax & cheapest places are in NY). the P-7 is the same thing with 3MP.
real compact and light... all the pictures on the link below were taken with my buddys p-9 at 1mp. the p-7 should run about 400, and it comes with the recahrgeable battery.
ignore digital zoom when comparing specs - photoshop is digital zoom. you want high optical zoom, rechargeable battery, and when comparing, the best resolution is from the camera that on fine stores the least amount of pictures on the same size memory stick.

5 different emails , it came back undelieverable with all that I sent. I didn't send the video. The Camera tom is talking about is a great camera as well, just remember optics not digital. When the salesman starts talking about digital zoom slap him. lol
