Post Control arm rebuild woes (crosspost) (pics)

I decided to rebuild my control arms and I got a few surprises. I originally posted this thread on the 944 turbo Rennlist forum. Here is the thread: #$%?%$%? Friggin' Control arm rebuild

What type of balljoint assembly is in there?

Any opinions welcomed

Andre, the new springs should be in next week. Pull that lower bushing that they suck in there out and send me a pic. I want to make sure there was no machining done to the pocket. If there was not, I will send you 2 springs and you should be good to go.
