Cool Who wants a white 944?

I may have a buyer for my car but I want to keep my options open if it falls through.
The car is a 1985.5NA. Belts/roller/waterpump were recently done. It just had it's 2000 mile retension. Clutch master & slave cylinders are new. Oil cooler seals are new. The car has 1986 951 sway bars with all new bushings. Interior is 9 out of 10. A few small dash cracks keep it from being a 10. Ths sunroof works manually. It has a broken cable tube so the electrics are disconnected. The tires are new Falken Zeix 225/50/VR15's. Very sticky and good in the rain. The AC doesn't work and I've never checked into what it needs. The clutch is good for maybe another 5000-10,000 miles. I was going to replace it before selling but I don't have the time so that will reflect in the price. The body is straight but it was partially repainted on the pass side over the original paint and it's flaking off in spots. Perry951 is convinced that it could be feathered in with a buffer and some rubbing compound.
Price is $4000 firm and pics can be seen in this thread.

I hope you are replacing it with another, Pete. I saw Pete's car at the 'Fest and can attest to its condition. You forgot to mention the Fuchs, man! Someone is going to be getting a great deal on a nice car. Wish I had 4K, I could have an NA twin.

Thanks for the compliments Eric. It is a good car but there is something about that 3.0L torque!

Pete- Good luck.
The torq is cool..but I am most impressed with the S2 engine's sound! Much more metallic and mean sounding!

I will vouch for Petes car. Its in excellent shape. I think he had the seats reupholstered not long ago too because they look as supple as a babys bottom. The interior is almost perfect. You can tell Pete's obsessed with keeping it looking great b/c when I pulled next to him at Taj he was wiping it down and giving it the red carpet treatment. You get what you pay for. I wouldnt hesitate to pull the trigger on it if I was shopping. Im sure a lot of 944 Festers will back me up.

He's movin'on up!!

I saw Pete's 944 @ the Fest. It was the nicest looking N/A there by far. I love the white on white look. For $4K, somebody is going to get one helluva nice Porsche. Pete's practically giving it away.

Happy hunting Pete!!!!

Don't want to turn this into PeteFest '03 but I too can vouch for Pete's car, as I paid him a visit recently while he was working on it and saw him and the car in action. Maybe you recall his post not too long ago about the list of stuff he was doing to the car (which was why I went over, to drink beer and help and maybe drink some beer)? This one has definitely been lovingly cared for. I don't feel like I have to wish you good luck, 'cause somebody will snap this one up.

PeteFest.. I like the sound of that...

I was really amazed on how much I liked Pete's car. very clean. I had seen the white/ burgundy combination and thought to myself "YUCK!". This one changed my mind.

It's one sweet ride.. NOW you tell me after I got the 87 NA...

It's well worth the asking price- actually i think it's kinda low- Pete you should be able to get quite a bit more..
