Post 968 ring & pinion problem on factory LSD trannys?

Are the famous 968 ring and pinion problem equally common on both the standard 6 speed and the LSD 6 speed or are there any differences in ring and pinion break down statistics?

I think that if you go over to www.968.net and follow the links to Martin's page on the pinion bearing problem, you'll find that it's equally distributed on all 6-speeds of both types, for all year models. But I may be misremembering this....
