Post 968 looks

I can't get over how much I love the way a 968 looks, yet I love having a turbo car.

Are there ways to convert a 944 turbo to look more like a 968.. espescially the rear end. I heard infinite fiberworks has a complete body kit but can't find it on their web site..

i've been debating selling my 86 turbo for a 968 CS. it's only 236 HP but.... maybe one day I could turbocharge it.

Best way might be too drop a 951 engine into a 968 chassis- you would then have a (slightly) better weight dist than the 951 (slightly worse than 968) and have a MUCH stronger trans + extra forward gear (if using a 6-speed)- of course, you would have to do something about that ridiculous 968 gearing

I've always liked the way the front looked on 968's vs 951's- it looks much more like a Porsche- the rear reminds me too much of a 928- the 968 really does look like a cross b/t a 951 & 928- anyway, I'm now split almost 50/50 on the looks of either car & either end, and the only way I can truly be happy, is to own both- of course, it would probably be cheaper to go out and buy 2 new M3's, based on my horrible 951 experience- God I HATE the magazines

Another thing I am considering is SFR's and HR's nwe 968 supercharger.... HR claims over 300 HP.

not bad..and possibly would match the famed turbo s 968. (305 HP @ 5400rpm)

To me, the 968 cabrio looks a lot like some of the SLK's when the tops off.... but much better.

Danny, unless it's a track only car you won't be able to have a CS in the US.

There's a guy on 968.net that's put a 951 engine into a 968. More imporant than the power, which is similar, is the larger amounts of torque available with the 951 engine.
