Atlanta PCA AutoX - Dec 14th
Just wondering if anyone else was going that's on the list. It'll be my first ever AutoX (I'm acutally waiting to hear back from the PCA guy that runs it to find out what I need/need to do and bring). If others have advice, it's gladly accepted.
This is the kind of thing I'm supposed to do with a P-car, right?

I am not the Atlanta Guy....
.. but....
Bring..
Helmet, Water, Lunch, Possibly Folding chair, Rain Gear?, Box or cloth to put stuff inside the car on after you take it out.
Make sure of the following
1) You have removeded all loose objects from the car
2) Battery mounted solidly. Factory mount is fine as long as it is tight.
3) Brakes ... Make sure they stop the car well
4) Tires.. Good to have some tread left and run at least 34-36 PSI in the tires for regular street tires
5) Don't need more than 1/2 tank of gas at the event.
6) No major oil or coolant leaks. (ie if you leave puddle this is not good. a drop is probably ok. )
7) Make sure you have full oil level (but not overfull)
8) Wear your driving shoes if you have some or any shoes you feel most comfortable driving in.
9) Clothing, Close toed shoes, long pants and long sleeve shirt. Cotton is preferrable since they are better in fire than most man-made fabics. Polyesters tend to melt on your skin.
10) Guys did I Miss anything???

Hrm, well the car's in good repair (no leaks, burns a qurat of oil every 3k, 60~70% tires, etc).. will a full-face motorcycle helmet cut the mustard for inspection (I would hope so, I risk bouncing my mellon off the pavement when racing my motorcycles - not just tapping it off something in the car). driving shoes.. lol, they're called "Doc. Martin Steel toe work boots" (it's what I wear every day of my life.. I even have 'nice' black ones that look sorta like wing-tips). <img src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" border="0" alt="[hiha]" />
Depending on how long the event takes, I may not get to run at all (have to leave for work at 2:30) - I don't imagine anyone would look favorably upon my running first then cutting out without doing work.
In anycase, thanks guys...
