Okay, now I feel I should say a few kind words about Kalahari Metallic. It's not the sportiest color available, but it does look pretty classy.
A friend of mine commented that the metallic color looks great on the car. "Usually when you see these cars (944s) they are faded red," he said. "The metallic paint makes the car seem more modern or something." And if you notice, you do see a lot of current production cars (albeit not Porsches) that are sold in this 'champagney' color.
When I first went to check out my car, I was NOT expecting to like the color. "What the heck is Kalahari Metallic?" I recall thinking. But upon actually seeing the car, I thought it looked surprisingly good. In fact, the exterior appearance is what sold me on it.
Would I custom order a NEW Porsche in Kalahari Beige Metallic? Probably not. But I am very pleased to have a 944 of this color. Classic!

first off yellow; while it would be nice to have, cops love me a too much as is. I can do without broadcasting to the whole world, look i'm a porsche , I'm yellow, and I'm probably going over the speed limit. <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />
Black; I do agree that porsches look good in black, however black is one of the hardest colors to keep up looking good. everything shows with a black car, its hard to keep the finish really nice. however, the main reason I didn't go with a black car, is look were I live, Alabama. its hot, really hot down here, and a black car only makes things soo much worst.
Red; when I bought my car, I wanted something different from everyone else. most 944 come in red, in fact there are four other 944 in the auburn opelika area and all four are red.

i'll also have to vote for the stone grey metalic with burgandy leather interior. (its what i have!!) I wasnt to crazy about the burgandy leather interior at first, but it has grown on me, and now i love it.
The garnet red isnt bad either. I like the dark blues you see in the 968s. Also, the color that UDPride has is cool.

Alright! Some other Kalahari Beige Metallic's out there! I feel in love with mine the first time I saw it! I just didn't want "Arrest me Red" They are all beautiful cars through! <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

Black on black is my personal fav and also what I have. I saw black o white once, that was pretty cool. I had my car repainted black pearl metallic this summer it looks great.
