I don't see why people hate on the plastic panel so much. Why make work for yourself? Just leave it.

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean he should be ordered to take it off his car. I'm not a fan of them either, but wow.

thank you i had my mind already set when i flew up to PA i spoke with the owner and the only reason he wanted to sell it it was because he just got a 2008 Porsche Cayman limited edition and had no use for the 944 the car was NEVER beaten, raced or modified, all service records came with it and with only having 52k??? i was sold.....

Speaking of never raced, you need to get on that. See the thread about the talladega grand prix. By all means I'm going and you are invited to join my caravan down there.

Ah lighten up.

I understand it's just a taste thing and some people like those panels, its much like painting your windshield wipers to match the car, some may love it, some may hate it.

As long as the OP knows they never left the factory like that.

It's because it's a 80's fashion add on, and aesthetically the 944 already has the appearance of a raised tail so when you move the licence plate down it makes the butt end look taller.

Congrats! I did the same thing exactly one year ago. It was 11/30/07 and I flew from DC to Ohio and drove my 87 944S back home. I spent the next year putting it right and hemorraging large amounts of cash on the car. It's been worth it!

You're really lucky to get that low mileage.

I have a leak thats wetting my rear passenger footwell, and from what i've learned its likely coming from a blocked drain that originates in the sunroof cutout area (not the sunroof seal itself). I havent investigated yet.

Front passenger footwell water usually comes from leaks around the battery area I think.
