Post what is the recomeneded way to pull out head studs

studs need to come out of a block for machining and welding. what is the proper way to pull them without pulling threads out with them?

Double-nut the stud and take it out. If it resists, you can try heating up the block around the base of the stud. If it's still stubborn, you can rent one of those 'stud-extractor' tools... <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

heat the block like danno said and use some circuit chiller spray on the stud.
