One quick check you can do is look for the threaded spring perches on the front struts. The original Koni internally adjustable inserts look identical to the Boges from the outside, so you'd have to disassemble the struts to confirm that they are Konis. If you do have the original Konis, they're probably worn out anyway, so the important part is the housing with the adjustable spring perch.

Damn, I'm jealous. The SE is one of the few truly unique 924/944's. I've just about converted my 924S to SE spec, but there ain't nothin' like the real thing.
