You all need to get a grip. Who gives a rats if Jeremy invested $1000K into a $5k car, and WHO CARES if 944LT1 dropped a Corvette engine in his German friend...

Everyone is so quick to criticize but the fact remains it was THEIR CAR and THEIR MONEY so GET OFF THEIR BACK.

Frankly, I think BOTH are AWESOME. I've always wanted to do the LT1 conversion AND I'd really like to get a supercharger. Does that make me any less of a Porsche "fan"? Um...no.

We're all on the same team here guys so get a grip.

Listen,

The whole intent of this post and my replies were to thank everyone for all of the help and words of kindness. I won't respond in a negative fashion to any further negative posts.

This is, by far, the BEST Porsche forum that I have ever seen. That is why I am an active member.

Once again, I am sad to see my 944 go. But I am also very grateful to all of the members and participants in this forum.

Best regards,

Jeremy <img src="graemlins/xyxwave.gif" border="0" alt="[bigbye]" />

All of these bidders complied with my simple auction terms and were pre-approved. They were serious bidders and all had proper funding.

I am not quite sure what you are so bitter about, but you just seem to be that type of a person. I actually feel pretty sorry for people such as yourself. The animosity that you display while hiding behind an anonymous internet identity really will eventually lead to other maniacal displays in your "real" life.

I sincerely wish you no harm. I hope that some day you will find some tranquility and face your deep seeded emotional and psychological issues.

Peace Be With You.

Best Regards,

Jeremy</strong><hr></blockquote>

Jeremy, If anyone has issues it would be you! You are the one that got bent out of shape because of my original post, and called me an idiot and an *******! I never intended to hurt your feeling!
Where is all this bitterness and animosity I'm allegidly displaying? Hell i actually took your advice and was going to let it rest! But some are posting negative attacks against me for no reason! I tried to keep quite but to be called a moran and suggest I be banned from rennlist is ridiculous! If someone pisses on me I'll damn sure **** on them!

Sad huh? Like, us cool 944 guys would NEVER do something as STUPID as that...

mcavour FYI 944LT1 is a nice guy and so is Jeremy - it would just seem there was a slight misunderstanding and you really should back off and let them two of them deal with it.

I really am embarassed at what this turned into, I certainly never intended that to happen. I apologize to Jeremy and possess no ill feelings toward him!
I do wonder how he dove so deep in my
psychiy (sp?) with so little to go on?
And to all the V8 haters.......ignorance is bliss!
I hope to "RUN" up against ya some day! (curvy or sraight) <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />

does this mean that the value of all that is 500 because that is what you bought the car oringinally for?...heck no....if that was the case, i think jermemy should part the car out then.....

and for the record, i too am someone who has a $4000 944 that going to have probably 12 K int he engine.....i think it will be well worth it though....

LOL I just had to laugh at this reply, my racecar cost me $500 when I first bought it as a damaged, smog-motored POS, now I have $15k into an engine I built mostly myself, thousands more in the chassis and suspension etc. and I probably couldn't get even $8k for the whole thing (it is for sale BTW) Anyone with a brain between their ears knows that enthusiats don't spend money on modifying thier cars in hopes of increasing the resale value, they do it for the fun factor! Stepping on the loud pedal enroute to a 10 second ET is worth every penny (and every hour) I've spent on that car.

And to Jeremy, I fully understand the shoes you are in, my dragcar has sat for 3 seasons while I spend my time and money raising my daughter, every spring I swore I'd have it on the track by June but "something" always came up, fortunately for me I didn't have to sell it during that time but I'd have sold it for a song in a minute if I had to. Now the pressures of fatherhood have forced me to make a choice, keep my porsche and my dragcar and spend very little on them or sell one to mod the other, having only recently been bitten by the p-car bug I've decided it's time to sell the drag-car in order to put away money for the mods I have planned for my 912. My wife and I came up with a simple solution to spending money on my cars, I only spend bonuses and overtime on it after I put 10% of it away for my daughter's education, the rest of my income goes to the family. My advice as a father to a "will-be" father is simple, putting family first is something you'll never regret, but don't lose interest in the hobbies that bring you joy since that joy spreads to your family as well. Sell your baby (really nice BTW) for as much as you can get, start your family etc. then at first opportunity buy a "fixer-upper" to tinker with during those few precious moments you have alone when the family's not around. Eventually if you're lucky like me your hobby will become a family affair, everytime I wash my car my wife cleans the interior and my daughter cleans the wheels (ok she's 3 1/2 so she just splashes soap and water on them LOL) my daughter gets a sense of a job well done (we always tell her how nice the wheels look) and we spend quality time as a family weird as it sounds. It's gotten to the point that my little one insists we wash it at least every saturday I could ramble on for page after page about the joys of being a father but I won't, you've made a choice that you won't regret, just be sure to post pics of your "new" baby when he or she arrives!
