It's little bit other way with Porsche. Porsche family still owns lot of VAG- company.
Porsche family is also importer of VAG & Porsche cars in Austria.

Yes, the Astons are nice, but I'll take the old white Lotus Espirit from the Roger Moore movies (though Michelle probably would rather see the "Bros-man" in it) , thank you. Terrible ergonomics, questionable reliability but that mid-engine layout, great handling and, man that sexy body. Am I still talking about a car ? Oh yeah, one of my favorite cars at that.

If it weren't for Ford, Aston would likely have gone out of business. From what I understand, Aston are left pretty much alone to do as they wish, but with a much more significant budget for R&D. Astons are no more a Ford than a Ferrari is a Fiat--a rediculous assertion.
And Jag's quality and design have both been changed for the better. I guess noone remembers how horrible Jags were pre-Ford. Incidentally, in the latest J.D. Power rankings for new cars, Jag rated ahead of Honda.

What do you Aston fans think of the new DBAR1 Zagato Edition? I can't figure out if I like the lines or not.
The Vanquish, on the other hand....
Ford or not, the Vanquish is towards the very top of my list of non-Porsche dream cars. The car is absolutely amazing to see in person...
Oh and you guys who think the XType jag looks like a Taurus are CRAZY.
It's a Contour.

James, read up on John Delorean and you'll see that he was acquitted of all charges filed against him. No one ever seems to remember that.

Carroll Shelby's Ford powered DB-4s!!!!!
There is one down here in S. Fla. What a sight to see blasting around turns 4 and 5 at Moroso during spring fling! Your chest vibrates from the sound it makes. Yeah, Baby!!

damnt strait O.J didn't do anything... Freaking how do you convict orange juice?....
BTW there is only one aston that does it for me.
Aston Martin Vantage Le Mans.
Only 40 made.. last of the real vantage's..The last compleatly handmade Aston Martin car it took 4 months to make. Has the V-8 that has been at the heart of Aston since 1969 with TWIN Superchargers. That makes 600hp (if it has the proformance option) 0-60 3.5s 0-100 9.0s and it weighs 2 ton's

I don't think Porsche is under VW. VW owns Audi and Lambo, but I think that's it. They, like, "shared parts" at one point or something, but...
Back on track, the DB goddamn 5. So beautiful. Could you imagine pulling up to a party in one of those? Any ******* with money can buy a Vanquish (not to say they're not sweet).

Although my 944 was abused when I found it, it is funny how it is on jack stands more often than the e-type. Maybe I just got the pick of the bunch when it comes to the e-type, but I think that it will be able to drive any place on the eastern coast once I install a new waterpump and tires.
As for the Aston Martins, I was at a car show and saw a beautiful DB5 right next to the guys DB7. I wonder what else this guy had in his garage.
