Default time to tackle a few lighting problems- tail lights first

My tail lights don't work. I'm getting no power at the coupling right next to the light cluster. I know it isn't a ground problem, because it works when I apply external power. Yes, I've checked the fuses. The brake lights work, but the reverse lights don't. Any suggestions? I'm about one more night of looking at this from just running new wire from the fuse box.

Headlights are, markers no- but I think that is a separate issue (at least the fronts).

Disconnect the wires from the reverse switch. One wire should be a +12v feed, the other goes right to the reverse lights. If you have +12v there, jumper the wires and your reverse lights should illuminate. If they do, then replace your switch.

Just hope it's something that simple. I just got done with rebuilding my interior harness and it was a PITA.

Thank you. I'm going to dig back in this weekend. I've been putting this stuff off, and now I have to get my car inspected, so I can't any longer. It is tempting to just rewire the whole car, but I just need to get it back on the road for now.
