Post Redline vs. Amsoil engine oil

Well, whats the story?

I'm thinking which one is more likely to leak and which one is a better lubricant....

I'm currently using Amsoil and it's leakin...would definetely change if Redline leaks less and lube's just as well..

TIA,
Adrial

Or replace all the seals. If they are leaking now, most synthetics will do the same.

I would run the new Castrol High Milage. I was running that in the 951 on the old motor. It sealed the leaks I had, used less oil, and when I tore the motor down, it was nice and clean.

Since everything is new now, I will be running Castrol Syntec. I might try some Amsoil, but it is a bit pricy.

Never blame the oil, it's the motor that leaks.

Get the seals fixed!

I would fix all the leaks, but there's one that would be similar to doing a clutch job (all that stuff has to come off).

Guess I'll clean up the engine and check for leaks again, probably just gonna throw 10w40 amsoil in there when I get home.

I know the cork gasket is leaking and thats a fairly easy one to do, so I'll take care of that one.

thanks,
Adrial

I have used them both and I like them both. I have heard people who track their car say that Redline is the best, but I do not really know.

I run the oil for 6,000 miles and change the filter every 3,000 miles.
