968 calipers same as 951?
Hi,
Can anyone confirm if the calipers that were fitted to the 968CS (non-M030) are the same as those found on 951's?
If so, I understand from the archives here that it shouldn't be a major hassle to fit them to my car. But I thought it would be wise to check first!
Thanks in advance,
Peter

They should bolt right up. They may LOOK different, because the later Brembos had flush outer faces with painted PORSCHE script where the earlier ones had raised cast lettering. (Someone please correct me if these are not interchangeable).
EDIT: I mean bolt up to a 951 - looks like you have an NA?

I have 968 non-M030 calipers on my 86 951. They bolted right up. I like the calipers from the 951 better b/c they have the cast lettering, which gives a sense of higher quality. Don't make them like they used to...

Hi,
Thanks for all the replies. I can now rest easy that I'm not going to have any major problems with them.
I'm going to be uprating the suspension soon and that's when I'll fit the calipers so changing the hub and struts won't be a problem.
Thanks again,
Peter
