Post WTB: Koni strut

If anyone has a single quality Koni yellow around let me know. Got oil coming out of the R Front. I bought the car with the koni's so dont think they'd be replaceable under the lifetime warranty. Skip? thanks

I think the lifetime in question is the car's not the owner's, so the warranty might still apply. Email koni and find out.

Mike, sorry to hear you're having that trouble. Unfortunately, Original Equipment Konis are not covered by a lifetime warranty (except Saleen Mustangs). Aftermarket Konis are covered only for the original purchaser.

Are they the OE Konis, or inserts, or?? I just cut up a set of relatively good ones this weekend. I do get the OE Konis in as cores infrequently - I'll keep you in mind if I get another set soon.

Maybe try the dismantlers like 944 ecology, OK Foreign, and Ian's.

Good Luck!

Another option would be to pull one or both struts and send them to either Koni, Tru-Sport, or another place that rebuilds them and have them refurbish them. Koni quoted me $125 a strut for a rebuild IIRC.

thanks guys. Yeah Skip, I believe they were put on by the PO as I have a nonS. I'm not sure if they are OE or if the conversion was done as posted on your website. How to tell? Keep me in mind if one comes in.
