951 fuel pump and check valve

951 fuel pump and check valve
My 89 951 does not start intermittently and when I sprayed starting fluid it starts every time. I replaced the regulator and now I am checking the check valve and fuel pump. The question is what is the part number of the 89 951 and how is it different from the 86 951 or even the n/a models? Thanks for your input.

Have you replaced the DME (AKA fuel pump relay) yet? It is common for them to cause this type of problem.

The part number for the 86 & 89 turbo is the same - 944 608 102 04. The N/A has a different part number. The part number for the check valve is 944 608 951 00.
