Does anyone know how many electrical connections are on the AC compressor and where they go? My AC isn't working and I noticed some broken/cut wires on the compressor. 1986 951.
Thanks

Zaak,
There should only be one connector/wire going to your AC compressor. The wire that goes to your compressor is connected to the compressor's clutch. It connects into the car's harness near the coolant overflow hose on the driver's side frame rail with a female connector. At the compressor, there should also be a ground wire with an eyelet that is secured to the compressor with a Phillips screw. The ground wire is an inch long and runs from a small resistor (i think) to the compressor body. If the wire is broke at the compressor, you'll probably need to pull it and solder it back together. I hope this helps.

Zak,
Check the archives on the turbo board or search under my username. I posted a thread a month?? ago entitled "where do these wires go" showing a pic of the AC compressor and the female end--hopefully the photos are still up.
