1986 944 N/A: I am now re-assembling the dash after replacing the condensing coil of my A/C. Everything is going well except as I re-assemble the parts, there are two pieces I don't recall removing (next time I take photos of the unit before disassembly).

1) a rubber hose of about 12 " long, about 3/4" OD. I think one end goes to a sensor mounted to the firewall but not sure about the other end.

2) a plastic hose about 8" long, about 3/4 " in dia. one end attached to the plastic A/C/heater box (passenger side) but cannot determine where the other end goes to. I do not believe they fit togther but I may be wrong.

Does anyone have any experience with these two hoses?

 

One of those goes to the little vent thing to the right of your cigarette lighter. It goes to the temp sensor thing that makes the auto temp control work. Don't have one apart now to be sure on what size which is, but hopefully that helps you narrow one down.

The other one goes from the heater box to a port on the side of the glovebox to keep it warm/cool.

 

Hey, crazy question but where can you get these hoses? I have looked in other cars and they are either gone or something. Does anyone have a part number or some pictures. I talk to people about these hoses and they think I am crazy and that they were never there.
