Question Got my new 968CS steering wheel--question?

The new steering wheel is here!! Gotta go buy a 24mm ratchet though...

Question is, how to remove the old horn-pad? I pulled it, but that only blew the horn!? Is there an easy way to remove the pad?

Any tips are appreciated!

Thanks!

Grab it and pull, if you have the ignition off it shouldn't sound. If it still does - pull the fuse.

Also you may be able to get by with a 1" socket, assuming you already own one. I didn't buy a 24mm socket, and I've taken my wheel on and off about 12 times now.

And if your turn signal doesn't cancel then wrap about 3 layers of electrical tape around the protrusion on the back of the wheel hub, since you will already have the wheel off.

Wear gloves at Rutt's Hutt next week, or you'll never get the smell off the wheel . . .

I will post pics when I install tomorrow! Stay tuned!

You know, I never mentioned the PCA membership...maybe they would discount further? I should call them tomorrow and ask.

They did mention that there were only 2 more of these wheels left in the country! Once they're gone, it will mean a 6-week wait from Germany!

I need to post pictures of mine... its WAY cool. Got mine from AJ-USA for $239 with my Rennlist discount. I have seen the factory unit and couldn't tell the difference between it and what I got, and have been told they are made at the same factory. unfortunately, if you are still waiting to use your PCA discount, I think you are out of luck, as they needed to be used by 12/31.

Buy one, you will love it!
