Default Need to order the oil cooler upgrade gasket set

Hi all,

I'm getting oil into the coolant on my daily driver '88 924S and my local mechanic, who is not a Porsche-specific guy, but still very good, is willing to do the repair but I have to find the parts for him.

I have had this done in the past, but never had to find the parts myself. I've always heard about a kit/set of gaskets, O-rings and other bits and pieces that are necessary to do this job, so if anyone knows of such a thing I'd appreciate a pointer.

Also, are there other parts that are needed to do this job properly? Again, my sense is that there is a "later" version of all these parts that helps with some poor or inadequate design on the original system.

TIA for any advice.

I found a nice write-up of the repair at Clark's Garage (yeah, Clark!):

http://www.clarks-garage.com/ Under "O" in the "Shop Manual" section.

This seems pretty complete, but if anyone has words of wisdom, please post.

Yep, that should take care of it for a oil cooler seal replacement.
