These are the only three that would register for me, and I used the Porsche Option Decoder.
Code Option Description
197 Higher amperage battery
650 Sunroof
666 Without lacquer preservation and chrome preservation

Okay, here the other post.
I am 90% sure this is a Euro car. Option C01 means "European emissions". US/North American versions are C02 or C03. So this 944 was not built with emission controls originally, if I interpret C01 correctly. Therefore, it can not be a US version.

Wait a sec. I just re-read the other thread and I have it figured out now.
"Lutz" said that he has a picture of the sticker on the firewall. The sticker is in the hatch area, but if you do in fact have a pic of the sticker, meaning a paper sticker and not a stamping in the metal of the firewall, and this sticker says WPOZZZ, then it's a Euro version. Period. The metal stamping on the firewall is the only place that says WPOZZZ on a US car. The sticker on a US car will display the US VIN - WPOAA whatever.
Visually, if there's a little amber light (a turn signal) on the front fender behind the wheel but in front of the door, then this would be another indication that it's a Euro car - unless it's had a fender replaced. This is the easiest thing to check for and probably where we should have started. Oh well.
But WPOZZZ on the sticker and option code C01 seals it for me.

i have a pic of the sticker but im not sure if its from the firewall or the trunk. He told me the firewall. But this is a paper sticker with the WPOZZZ # and the option codes.
I think you are right it is a Euro....least i learned a lot through all this

The 666 'delete' option would indicate it did not get shipped to the US, as cars sent on ships get that kind of protection. Now, IIRC, you can get that for a US delivered car-but you have to pay for it to be delivered by plane. Some concour nuts, er, enthusiasts, want this as all the cosmoline and gunk stays off the wheel well, suspension, etc etc so it's better to present.
