From a design standpoint, if your design objective was to set out to integrate a 959 into a 356, then this body really isn't too badly done. My question would be why anyone would want to do that in the first place and why they would want to continue after they saw the end result. A lot of present day design studios have tried incorporating 40 year old design cues into their new car designs with limited success. Chrysler hasn't fared too badly, but is still "hit and miss". I think Ford's new Thunderbird is as gaudy looking as this "359". Of course these are just my opinions, and style preference is a lot about opinions. But it sounds like we mostly agree on this one.

I saw one of those at a VW show years ago that was built much better than that one. It had 17" C2 wheels and a 3.0L 911 SC engine in it. It doesn't look as bad with the top off.

thank you for pointing this out to them before i got a chance to ag951!

no porsches were hurt in making this. it is a super beetle that was chopped, and turned into a kit car.

honestly.. it does in deed take alot of skill to do these. to do a kit car is practically making a car from scratch. you have to admire the work he has put into it, and the amount of skill he has. he's done more work on this, than most of us have on any car in our lives. just some food for thought there. would you be able to do that? do you have the skills and talent to accomoplish this? maybe we should congratulate him on what he has pulled out of his ***, rather than belittle it. it may not be 'our type of car', but i think its pretty damn cool he could do this.

im not saying id buy it either. i just know he has done more work to do that than most of us have, and he should get some props for that, thats all.
