I wanted to try and repair my own dash for economic reasons. Does anyone know if the product is available that the dealership used to use to repair cracks? Porschepalace.com advertised a product back in 95' but they do not seem to be in buisness any longer. Anyone do their own without recovering with vinyl repair kits? any success? For grain matching I was thinking of using a piece of an old dash to imprint the repaired area while it is wet with filler. Thoughts?

www.JustDashes.com has an early 944 dash avail. IIRC it's a totally new piece. I've used them b4 during my Mustang days with great success.
