Question Has anyone tried this transmission mount? Asher Racing I think??

I was looking through Excellence the other day and noticed a small ad in the back for I believe "Asher Racing" mounts for 944/968's. I could be wrong on the name, I don't have the magazine near me. I don't think they have a website or anything because the ad gave Pelican's site and two others I believe where you can buy their stuff. It looks like it might be a good compromise between stock and a solid trans. mount? They also make motor mounts. Here is the picture from Pelican's site:

They often come up on ebay and are the best design I have seen. They also do the best engine mounts I have seen.

Funny you say that, because I was thinking that red would go much better with my car and my whole scheme.

Anyone know if the name of the company is Asher or not? I think thats what the ad said.

Are they solid or is that rubber actually part of the mount? Any increase in vibration? at idle? higher rpm? They look VERY appealing, but they are more than i get a st of factory mounts for i just want to make sure they arent going to be horrible vibration wise...

Thanks,
Mark

They are semi-solid, there is rubber in there but it is very high density and holds the transmission in place better than stock without causing too much extra noise in the cabin.

The engine mounts are the same, they come with high-density rubber disks. You can run with two disks per side for stock engine height, one disk for a lowered engine CG, or remove the disks completely and run solid.

I do not have them but have spoken to others who have and they like them a lot. They are on my (extended) wish list.

I can't find either of those parts in the provided link or in a search on eBay for DP-Motorsports. Do they have a website or is a phone call/email the only contact?

They don't make many, they seem to do a batch now and then and sell them on ebay. If you search the completed items using their username on eBay you will find their old auctions. Edit here you go: dts-motorsport

I would give them a call, it seems that the last few auctions on ebay this month didn't sell. Maybe you could negotiate a price for a group-buy.

Thanks I found the old auctions. The motor mounts are only $40-50/ea more than OE which is good. The trans mount is pretty pricey though. I need both items in the next few months and they look like a great option.

Thanks,
