Key light upgrade - that is something I am REALLY interested in - set up a post on this later with details!

How bad are these U/V in your eyes? I may have Hollywood Speedometer silkscreen my cluster to match the Autometer Ultralite silver. These wouldn't be harmful reflecting off in your eyes would it? I would be interested.

I'm interested - tentitive though. Blue eyes = REALLY sensitive to light (as in, I squint when looking at the road with my IceShark kit now.. )

Shoot, put me on the list anyway. If it's to much, I can always sell it off to another lister.

Brian - I am going to work on a dimmer setup, but they really are not that bright. I have very sensitive eyes, and during the testing (had it on continuous for a month) I spent about an hour staring at it. My eyes were fine, and that is with my 15 bulb setup.

The rest of you, gotcha on the list, and for the overseas shipping, we will work something out. Should not be bad at all.

Thanks fellas, hope to have the 1st few sets out soon so you can report back to the list.

What is the voltage that the LED's are running at and what is the brightness rating? I recently made some cool flashlights (green and aqua). Got the LED's cheap from a place called BG micro. www.bgmicro.com These LED's are VERY bright 10.4-11.6K mcd. The 9 volt battery I have running them should last over 50 hours! They also have whites at 3.2 and 6.4K mcd respectively. I made the flashlight out of a pill bottle and it's great for working on the Porsche -- it's light weight and bright.

marksportcts -
No, the reflection of something under u/v (or any led for that matter) won't harm your eyes. As you know, retinas are very delicate. Any light (especially leds) shone directly into your eye will do damage. And u/v leds are especially especially dangerous...you know, the whole ROYGBIV radiation thing.

I want one, as long as it dims a little and doesn't blind me! Oh yeah, there would be no glare generated 'cause the angle of the light is unchanged, right?

It dims, just not all the way. I'd say about 1/2. Light pattern is the same as stock, just brighter and white. You are on the list.

When the 1st sets make it to the guys first in, they can report back on what they think.
